On or renewed Tue Dec 01
Flatsharing with one male and three females (Av) age 33ish looking for 25-40
Close to Stoke Newington overground station, we are 5 mins walk from vibrant Church street packed with shops restaurants and cafes, a short stroll from Dalston, 10 mins to Clissold Park and the leisure centre/pool/gym/yoga, 2 Mins to Stoke Newington overground, easy buses to Finsbury Park/ Seven Sisters/ Manor House Underground, Supermarket round the corner, loads of local shops for 24 hour beer and good fresh veg, organics etc. Frequent bus links to Angel and the city... staggering distance from some decent pubs to boot!
The house occupies 5, but being London, ( lockdown aside) it is rare everyone is in at the same time. We range from late 20s to early 40s, creative and professional types into film/ arts/ food... When we are in, we are sociable and often sit around with pizza, drinks, games or a movie, and fat Sunday roasts can happen! - the rooms are on separate floors, so you to have your own space without being disturbed. There is rarely a queue for the morning showers, as we are all on different schedules. We also have a cleaner who comes weekly so no rota shenanegains!
We are an easygoing bunch who are social, and it is really important for us to find someone who is considerate, clean, and understands mutual respect and consideration for others.
We all work hard and appreciate our downtime, so respecting each other is important. We usually have a couple of soirees a year, and have friends/partners coming by, but impromptu after parties are a no-go. We always let everyone else know when guests will be coming over if using the communal space or staying over, so everyone can arrange themselves around it.
The house is homely and as such we enjoy it as a place to chill out, to rest and recuperate over the weekend and we are looking for someone to join the house who has the same idea of what a home should be. Someone who respects the people they share with and the house as their home. Sunday roasting skills a bonus.
Landlord is cool and local, usually quick to repair faults. He does require a financial reference check (no DSS) and contract is for a minimum of 6 months (we are hoping for someone to stay longer and also ask 6 weeks notice if moving out). Months rent deposit is expected + 1 month upfront.
Please note - busy lives mean it is not easy for us to get all the housemates together to do meetings, so if you are unable to meet your appointment, do let us know as soon as possible! :)
Obviously given current lockdown situation we can arrange to do zoom meetings, if you haven't had enough of them already!
