On or renewed Mon Jun 08
(Av) age 29ish looking for 25-40
We are sadly moving out of a lovely house to move back home for the pandemic.
Room 1 (Blue bedding in photos)
The room is large enough to fit a double/king bed, a sofa, a chest of drawers and other random bits of furniture and comes with loads of built in storage. It is unfurnished so you can put in whatever furniture you prefer.
There is a wall of built in shelving, some more built in shelves and some rails for hanging clothes. It has a large window overlooking the gardens of us and our downstairs neighbours.
Room 2 (Pink bedding in photos)
The room is large enough to fit a double or king bed, a desk, dressing table, clothes rack or chest of drawers and still have room for bedroom yoga. It comes unfurnished so you can fill it with whatever furniture suits you. There is a built in cupboard/wardrobe that has heaps of storage space within for the things you dont want to display and also has a rail for clothing. It also has a small built in bookshelf and a large window so plenty of sunlight for plants!
The flat is 2-3 floors of a house, the room is on the first floor, with a toilet next door - practically an ensuite but not quite! There is also a large kitchen which doubles as the main communal area.
From the kitchen there are steps down into a large garden, with trees, a barbecue and lots of lovely plants. It's also great for talking to the neighbours - the downstairs ones are especially lovely.
Upstairs are the other 3 bedrooms, access to an attic and a bathroom with an over bath shower, sink and toilet.
5 minute walk from London Fields, a nice canal side walk from Victoria Park, 7 minute walk from Dalston Junction station, 5 minutes from Ridley Road Market and 3 minutes from a couple of bus stops.
You will be living with 3 great people - Lo is a film editor and french, and Madison is an Australian fashion photographer and the third is yet unknown. Madison is a keen cyclist & chef and Lo will be happy to help you learn French and might even share his amazing lockdown quiche with you.
We enjoy hanging out together, chatting over some drinks and sometimes cook dinner together (or get take out) too. But we all appreciate each other's need for space and alone time. I've loved living here and I'm sad to be leaving.
Preferably you will be sociable and enjoy hanging out over a few drinks with the others. Female preferred to keep the gender balance - but it depends more on the person! Obviously everybody wants someone 'clean but not over the top, sociable but not too much' etc etc
We are also using the pandemic to spend a lot more time in the garden, so if you have green fingers that will be a real bonus! Vegan/Vegetarian would be great, but we arent too fussy if you do eat meat.
The nitty gritty
Rent is currently 735 per month before bills. Bills usually come to around 80 a month (I think) and each person takes responsibility for one. Deposit is 868.
The current lease expires on the 23rd of June so we are looking for someone to take over from then - but move in date can be negotiated if needed to be earlier.
