The room is in a three-bedroom flat less than five minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube station. It has a large living area with a great size kitchen and a comfortable living room with two sofas, big coffee table, plenty of pot plants and a little balcony ideal for sunny-day barbecues and where you can store your bike. Smokers can also use the balcony (smoking is not allowed inside the flat).
The room itself has all you need with a large wardrobe, some draws and a shelf. It has a comfy double bed and a large window which looks over the beautiful Town Hall hotel, located on a quiet street with trees in sight.
The flat is ideally located in a quiet square off Hackney Road and within walking distance of all East London fun: less than 5mn to Bethnal Green tube, 3mn to Cambridge Heath station, less than 10mn to Victoria Park, 10mn to Broadway Market, 12mn to Columbia Flower Market, 20mn from Brick Lane.. And if you have a bike, youre laughing.
For those who dont know the area, its vibrant with plenty of great pubs, bars, restaurants, independent coffee places and shops and a great nightlife minutes away from Victoria Park, one of Londons best parks.
There are plenty of supermarkets in reach too and Stratfords Westfield shopping centre is one stop away on the Central Line or a nice 45mn walk across the park and along the canal. The area is also home to lots of cheap gyms and there is a climbing wall in Mile End and a lido in London Fields not far away.
You will be sharing the flat with Sam, an editor, and Fawzia, a freelance film and TV producer, both in their 30s. The flat is very much a home for us and although we all lead busy lives, we like to have a chat, have a drink or cook together. We are looking for someone relaxed and tidy, interested in others, respectful, social and fun.
The rent is 725 a month and includes council tax, hot water and heating, which is pretty amazing given the unbeatable location and size of the flat. Theres a deposit of 1,000 and a 50 one-off administration fee. Since the flat is rented out by a private landlord there are no extra fees.
