(Av) age 35ish looking for 22-40
Furnished double room with own bathroom directly opposite. It has a clothes rail, double bed, chest of drawers and nightstands. The bathroom will be for your sole use.
Found within a luxury new build (2018) apartment block, in the heart of south Islington, the flat is c. 900 sq ft, It's a second floor flat with amazing sound insulation despite its amazing location on busy Pentonville Road. No road noise can be heard when the balcony door in the living room is closed. The flat has a large open plan kitchen/ living area with a nice comfy sofa, eames lounge chair and a marble dining table. The flat has under floor heating throughout.
There is secure entry to the block, a 24 hour concierge and a large communal courtyard with outdoor seating. For amenities, there is a swimming pool and hot tub, gym and cinema/ screening room. There is also a sauna and steam room but they are both currently out of use due to Covid-19.
The flat is superbly located. The building is situated halfway between Angel and Kings Cross, so a fantastic location (both walkable in 5 and 10 minutes respectively). There are lots of local buses up and down Pentonville Road, too (205, 214, 30, 394, 476 & 73) with bus stops in both directions right outside.. There is an array of shops, restaurants and bars in the surrounding area (and conveniently, a Tesco Express right outside).
I'm a lawyer (I know). To stay active I play basketball, cycle (I know) and lift weights. I'm also a certified movie buff who still buys blu-rays and DVDs (I know). I'm a frequent traveller (not so much this year - thanks, 2020) and while I enjoy cooking, I pretty much never do (I know).
I work fairly long hours but I'm quite social and always up for some banter..
As to what I'm looking for in a housemate, I guess just someone neat and social with interests outside Netflix and respect for others. Just a good human being, basically. Cool points if you like basketball and bonus points if you have good stories to tell.
Do let me know if you're interested in viewing the flat (starting Wednesday 15 September) and please do not be an axe murderer (I have a slightly scary but ultimately funny story that makes that sentence necessary).
