StreetMap.co.uk Google Map You're now reading about the prospect of sharing a three-bedroom flat with two graduate students, both studying History of Art. The flat itself is a split level ex-local authority with a bright and spacious living room, balcony, one bathroom and a downstairs toilet. It's really close to Clissold Park (it's literally just off Green Lanes) and also Clissold Leisure Centre (it's brilliant, brand new and has a very cheap gym). The shops and cafes of Stoke Newington Church Street are also a short walk away. The flat is in a low rise building and we are on the second (and top) floor. Good point: our landlord is really helpful and recently fixed up a ground floor deposit which has space for luggage and a bike. He also has good taste: the flat is smartly decorated with white walls, good furniture and no fuss. The bathroom has a decent shower and the kitchen, while relatively small (though not tiny) is well equipped. We like eating well, so we do cook a few times a week; there are a number of good specialty food and wine shops at Highbury Barn, which is a ten minute walk away. As for our new flatmate, we don't really want someone to simply occupy a room in our house but someone we can relate to. Being liberal-minded and politically progressive is strongly recommended (so that our dinner and pub discussions don't get too antagonistic...). We also believe that people without a sense of humour are amnesiac aliens who don't remember crashing into the Earth. That said, we hope to find someone that is truly easygoing (who doesn't?). That's it. See you around. p.s.: as there was no box for that, yes, there is broadband internet and a router. p.p.s.: sorry, but at this time we're looking for one flatmate, not for a couple (though a second room will be available within two weeks) p.p.p.s.: the landlord just let me know that the rent will undergo a regular adjustment (in line with inflation) at the beginning of next year. Bills are approximately £40-50 a month (at most).
