StreetMap.co.uk Google Map I love the arts: watching film and live theatre, dance (on stage) and music (particularly jazz) as often as I can afford. I like my work. I create/put together plays for young people with a colleague of mine; we work with a regular team, occasionally working irregular hours. It means my life isn't predictable with lots of routine, (which I like) but there's always the mundanely with every job (& I don't know anybody famous!). So, good communications skills are a must. Also a sense of hygiene, personal and in our shared areas, is necessary for us to get on; as well as being able to laugh at what live throws you. The room is a single room. I also have a room; and we share the kitchen, lounge and bathroom. I have all the usual gadgets, except a dishwasher. A shower/bath & GCH. We share the bills to ensure there is no excessive usage of gas and electricity (and a large carbon footprint). The room is furnished neutrally and I can provide bed linen and single duvet. If you want to set up and use the room's separate phone line, connect to broadband etc. with it, that is entirely optional and, if taken, your responsibility. Otherwise phone bills can also be shared. I have a small garden and we're not far from little gardens (such as Folkestone Gardens or Fordham Park) or from the lovely Greenwich Park. My road is quite quiet. It’s a dead end road, so lots of walking traffic, but very few cars. We're about 4 or 5 minutes walk from the main A2 road. From there you have the mainline station connecting to London Bridge (5 mins), Waterloo and Charing Cross (15 mins) and Victoria (20 mins); with an abundance of bus routes next to it. Tube-wise the East London line is being extended (bus replacements). However from my house a 5 minute walk, then 5 mins to Ldn Bridge and it’s tube connections to Canary Wharf, West End and beyond. There is a large Sainsbury’s next to New Cross Gate Station (8 to 10 mins walk), an Iceland closer; also local cafes and shops; with lots of busy pubs and night life too, as we are very near Goldsmiths College. This room is let for a standard minimum of six months, though after 6 months, a month's notice is all that is necessary. Any further information, just email for a chat or to arrange a visit.
